Default Polk Audio DSW PRO 600.......good enough?

I'm about to pull the trigger on one of these....but will this shake my walls enough to satisfy the theater junkie in me? 12" downward firing./ or would I be better off waiting "months" for an eD A2-300?

I think the Polk would be good enough. did you ever scope out the BIC VK-12? It doesn't do the sub 20hz but it can give my room a nice rumble. You can pick one up for $329 with free shipping on Amazon.
I have no doubt the ED sub will outperform it for roughly 50 dollars more. But I guess you gotta decide if you want to wait or not. What was the price on the DSW 600?

Months? The wait is that long now? I waited less than a month....

For me I would rather wait and have the the better of the two.

I knew there was a wait going into it. Price to performance ratio was enough to win me over. Haven't you been dealing with what you have now for this long?

I am going to be getting an A2-300 in february too, now if they tell me I have to wait until April for it to show up on my door step... That is fine with me. I have a decent sub now, and it has served me well, And it will until I get my beast.

When the Wife offered to let me upgrade something... I contemplated everything, but with some help and answers to my question I have now decided that I will get the biggest gain by adding a very good sub, Therefore I will wait 2 months if I have too.

Don't just rush into buying something because you want it now... that is how upgradeitist happens. Not to mention that if you are going to spend almost $700 on a Sub there are better ones out there for a little less.

Personally I have been researching for about a week now and I will be getting the eD A2-300 because of price to performance ration.... and I am willing to wait for it.

I think he pretty much hit the nail on the head. Unless you are getting a super price for the Polk I would say wait for the ED or look at the other options recommended above. Polk does not get many compliments on their subwoofers on this forum from what I have seen. I like my PSW 505 but the major knock against Polk has always been their inability to produce sub 30 hz, which is true. In addition to what Callas has recommended I would also say take a look at:

Rythmik Audio http://www.rythmikaudio.com/F12.html or Earthquake https://dmc-electronics.com/Default.htm (it's tough to find legit distributors of Earthquake, I bought mine off of ebay)

Rythmik was probably going to be my next subwoofer purchase, I was going to save up for one, but I got such a great deal on my new Earthquake sub I couldn't pass it up.

i waited about 3wks for my eD back in may of this year. i'm pretty sure the wait would be about the same now. good things come to those who wait, but if you're impatient and have more cash to burn. those above options(hsu, svs, or outlaw) are ready to ship probably the day you order. i'd stay away from the polk...

i have the dsw pro 600, it's an excellent sub, goes low and handles Bass extremly well, from specs perspective it goes to 20HZ (i believe that) and it's 8 times louder than the psw 125.

i have large room (18x28) and big towers, the sub is handling itself well, it shakes my 3 seater that is 14 feet away from it in the middle of the room.

the DSW series is MUCH better than the PSW , most of the people here never auditioned the DSW because they are fairly new subs, so they project the PSW experience on the DSW, try to audition the sub.
