Thats a personal choice given all available info on the subject.
I had two hd dvd players and 24 movies last summer and do not regret selling it all for a second.
The real war is going to be BD vs DVD eventually, and the sooner the better so we don't get stuck with only below par downloads in a few years.

The best thing to do is probably browse through your collection and see which ones that are important to you in particular and of those which ones can you get on Blu-ray at the moment. If there not too many that you really want to keep hold of or mostly available on Blu-ray then yeah I'd go for it, if not then I'd seriously consider at least getting yourself a blu-ray player then at least over time you'll be able to decide for yourself which one you prefer.

Everyone you'll ask for advice for it online whether it be from this site or others I can think of will all have a vested interest in helping you choose one over the other etc. The other thing to do is take a look at the films available on blu-ray now and over the next few months and that should help you decide mate.. good luck though, hope you make the right choice..

Also take a look at somewhere like here and on the right it shows who each film was made by;

If the ones you want say Sony, BV, Fox, MGM/W, SGem, SonR, it'll only be on Blu-ray. If the ones you want say Uni then it'll only be on HD DVD..obviously. If it says WB or P/DW then chances are it'll be on both formats and you won't loose out whichever you go for.
