i want to preorder the halloween triple feature blu ray which is currently sitting at CDN $19.99, but exactly how much is that in US money???? is it also 19.99???????

Shipping is insane from Amazon.ca to the U.S. Makes it much less desirable to order from in my opinion.

I think it revolves around some agreement between the two entities, to use the high shipping prices as a barrier of competition between them. All the various international Amazon stores are run independently.

As a Canadian, the thing that bothers me about Amazon US is the automated inclusion of duties/taxes/brokerage (whatever you want to call them). I don't get that with Amazon UK, so I find myself ordering from them more often than not. Additionally, the shipping rates are more reasonable IMO and I rarely get charged an import fee.

I haven't ordered anything from Amazon US since they instituted that policy.
