amazon.com shipping to Canada - Blu-ray Forum

I thought I'd try out the Monsters Inc/Up/Snow White deal from the news post but shipping to Canada is listing as $13.96 ?!?! Anyone know what's up with that? Is this the new standard? Has anyone found a promo code for shipping to Canada?

There is no shipping promo codes for Amazon.com to Canada.

Shipping is $4.99 per order, with an additional $2.99 per title.. always has been. However recently they've added a new Import/Duties fees collection which may or may not be refunded to you but will always be charged for orders over $20

yup, nothing you can do about the shipping costs... but that deal still works out to about $22 each which beats any deal youll be able to find here in Canada

I am jumping on that deal. Still cheaper than buying up here. Dont forget you can get 10$ off select Disney titles when you order UP. You can get Cars for $10, Sleeping Beauty for $11 and so on.

Frankly, the Amazon shipping and import duty charges are a joke. For example, if you are trying to take advantage of the buy 10 get $100 off deal right now, your subtotal can come out to $70, while your shipping/import fees are an additional $40+, for only 10 discs!

I used to import from Amazon.com all the time. but after the policy changes in the past year (maybe to try and encourage Candiands to use Amazon.ca?) I've had to resort to sending them to an American relative who either forwards them or brings them up herself when she visits. In the end it's now cheaper, but I'd rather pay a reasonable shipping rate so I could get them sooner.

I guess it is cheaper to fly 3,000 miles to Hawaii than to drive across the border into Ontario

It's all very annoying. Amazon Canada has almost no competition or reason to lower prices, so they won't.

I ordered the Snow White BD when Amazon.com had it for $10.00. Shipping was $7.99, frickin' joke. I did not get charged an import fee though. Is this fee based on how much you order?

Amazon Canada can kiss my A.. If I can even save a few bucks from Amazon.com I will go that way. Monsters and Up are $35/37 right now at .ca which is insane.

I am sure I could hit BB or whatever and maybe its just me but I like getting packages in the mail

Yep it's pretty sad that with the great deals from time to time you can pay more to amazon.com in shipping and import deposit fees than the actual Blu-ray costs and still be way ahead compared to prices in Canada.

I just bought G.I Joe Rise Of Cobra and G.I. Joe Season 1.2 off Amazon.com for 54.00 bucks after shipping to Canada....Great deal plus no FRENCH which I Hate!!!..LOL

Just ordered Monsters, UP, Bolt.

Although the shipping and import charges are ridiculous, ends up US$22.5 for each shipping to my door.

It's still a decent deal for Canadian.... (poor Canadian
