Default Blu Spec CDs

Has anyone out there bought any Blu Spec CDs?

I was in Taipei a while ago and they had some. The covers are all in Japanese. You don't need a Blu-ray player for them either. They are around $35 US a piece.

Just wondering whta they are like.

It's a gimmick. All it means is that they used the same machines they use to cut Blu-ray stampers to cut the CD stamper. It's one step up from putting a quarter on your speaker and other nonsense

+1. Supposedly they're more accurately etched when compared to regular CDs to reduce read errors and time based errors.

It's definitely more of a marketing gimmick trying to cash in on consumer awareness of the Blu-ray name.
