Smoking Aces worth blind buy? - Blu-ray Forum

ive never seen smoking aces, is it worth a blind buy? if so whats the movie like and what can you compare it to.

i enjoy smokin aces a lot.....its gory at sometimes for no reason and sometimes for good reason.....the story is good and so is the acting....i really can't think of a movie like it cause it is very different from others probably why some don't like it...if u like a story with many different angles and characters that come together at once for a major final act then this a great movie for you

Its worth it, it has alot of action not quite as much as "Shoot Em" but still not a bad movie.

If you enjoy other bad movies such as Shoot 'Em Up and Transporter 2, you'll also enjoy Smoking Aces

It was worth seeing but I probably wouldn't buy it on blu ray. Rent it first to see if you like enough to buy.

Blind buy Smokin' Aces. Do not blind buy Smokin' Aces 2.

It's vaguely comparable to such over-the-top action films as Crank, Shoot 'Em Up, and Doomsday.

I liked it.

If you like crazy charcters from movies like lock Stock & Snatch then you may like this.

It's not as good as the above movies, but its worth checking out

it's meant to be an over the top action, comedy (dark at times), but always way over the top in the comedy and action department. it's not meant to be taken seriously other than in those two areas. if you just want some good old senseless violence and comedy with quick one-liners and shootem-up action then this movie is for you. also stop worrying about what we all have to say. imagine, everyone tells you it's terrible and you never get it, 5 years from now your at a friends house and you watch it and find it was incredbly good and you think wow, i listened to all those people and missed out for 5 years.
you woke up this morning so that means you get to take a chance! if you don't wake up tomorrow, you don't have to worry about it, or anything!

Oh yeah, by the way, I loved it, but that's just me!

Ditto, very fun movie even though it took a couple viewings for me to really like it, probably going to pick up the 2-pack tomorrow at BB

Dumb movie IMO. Except of action, everything is awful.
Bad parody of Guy Ritchie best films.

Smokin Ace's wasnt that bad..

it was decent..

i didnt like when they killed Affleck off that quick

Reynolds was good though

honestly is it worth getting the best buy exclusive for 29.99 for both movies or just get the 1st one for 17.99? basiclly its only 12 bucks for the aces2. beacause the feedback im getting is aces 2 is crap and to be honest with you i hate movies that dont make it to the theater.

Well, I am pretty much getting the two pack. I haven't seen the second film, but the cast looks impressive for a straight to video film.

yea your right the cast dont look that bad and same here i have never seen it, but its just usually 70% of the movies that dont hit the theater tend to suck, thats what im scared of.
