I didnt know they had a steelbook release for this movie. But from those pictures show on the link at amazon.fr, it looked like it is a steelbook. If this is old please delete. I also emailed them and got this response:

it looks to me like it is a slipcase, and the plastic case on the other picture is a giveaway

yah, that last picture made me questioned too, thats why i emailed them. When i emailed them about the g.i. joe steelie, i got the same response and thats why i ordered.

yeah, steelbooks don't have a clasp that's plastic...as in the last picture.

i dont know how accurate their email responses are, as I asked about their tarantino collection (Kill Bill 1&2, Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown), and they said they are steelbooks but i'm not so sure they are

yah cant just believe with those pictures that its a steelbook. But i never seen a slip cover that had curved corners before and you see how the the back picture has the barcode on the back. If it was a slip cover, wouldnt it be cut to show the barcode. it looks whole to me. but i dont know i dont think i would order anyways, just thought i could help

would love a steel of quantum of Solace i skiped the amray because i thought it will come to SB sometime. Hope it is a Steel but the last Pic doesn't look like it is

I believe you will be sadly disappointed, Phil is very informative as to whats a SteelBook and Amaray and it would be hard to believe its been undiscovered for a year(almost)

Sadly, like Jeremy said, you're in for disappointment. This was only released as a slipcovered Amaray here in France. Like you, I would've loved a Quantum of Solace SteelBook, maybe a MediaMarkt SteelBook down the line?

Regarding the Tarantino Collection, well TF1 have been re-releasing some of their older titles in boxsets compiled by director/writer, such as Woody Allen (Match Point/Scoop), Martin Scorcese, or Stephen King, as well as themed packs like Action, and even though most of them contain SteelBooks, the Quentin Tarantino Collection is all-Amaray.
