United Kingdom Battlestar Galactica Complete Series Limited Edition

Currently selling for $150.85 including shipping at amazon.co.uk. This beautiful tin set looks better than the US version at least IMO. This gem has been confirmed to be Region Free.

Fantastic series and a must own for any sci-fi fan. I own the US version, but very happy with it even with the funky packaging. Besides the packaging the only real difference between the US sets is that the UK set has an episode guide (helpful) while the US set has a cylon figure (kind of neat).

The price is difference is also quite significant IMO. Hopefully they will still have stock in the next 2 weeks.

the amazon uk site says it's region 2 (not for the USA) http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0027UY8B8

the blu-ray site says it's region free even though it's a UK release https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Battl...-Blu-ray/5914/

which one is correct? i'm very interested in getting this for the price and i like the case better than the USA case but, i want to be sure it's gonna play on my player without any region problems. how has it been confirmed and which site that i listed is correct?

Ignore Amazon's region info, because they're often wrong. Region 2 doesn't even exist for Blu-Ray.... it's A, B, or C.

Amazon for the most part is wrong. If you go to bluray.com and you'll see that users have confirmed this BD to be region free.

While I don't own it, as far as actual content on the discs goes, they are both identical according to multiple sources on the internet. In other words, you are gaining the booklet and losing the figure if you buy the UK set.

THANK U OP!

That link with the YouTube vid answered all my questions. Just ordered mine.

FYI, it was roughly 90 British pounds shipped to the US, so I'm hoping that ranslates to $150 or less.

You can turn on the currency converter in amazon which will show you the total amount in USD.

I have this UK set...and yes, it is region free - plays fine in my US region A player.

Some people were having difficulties with their PS3 on the extra content - but everything seems to be fine with the newest firmware.

ALSO - each set comes in their own tray - no paper sleeves or any of that crap.

I bit on it, i do prefer the US packaging over the UK (looks wise, i know the disc are horribly packaged in the US version like most complete series sets here that causes scratches etc) i still got it.. i just hate how its like a big tin ugly blob of a thing, i think it would of been cooler if it was shaped like a toaster.. that would of been WICKED

I got the UK set, the slip covers that come on disc holders are so super tight, almost impossible to take them off, anyone else have this problem?

Just ordered mine for 150.07 in USD shipped to U.S. used to own the US set but the packaging was crap. Wanted to wait for the individual releases but at 50+ a piece every 4 months it's not worth it.

just ordered mine last night. about 90 GBP with shipping which equates to about $150 CAD. I'll most likely get hit with duty but still a fatastic deal.

Can't wait!

Just received mine today. The slip covers were not tight, but my case had some dings on it.
