How do I hook up my sub to receiver?

How do I hook this up?

I just bought a Harmon Kardan AVR 254 and the Polk Audio RM6750. I am pritty sure I know but just in case I don't. It's the sub to the receiver. And what are the speaker inputs and outputs on the back of the sub for? They are the crimp the wire in the hole style (push the knob down and insert the wire and release). A detailed info would be very helpful...Thank You in advance !!! Thanks Again !

And here's another question....if a blu-ray disc's audio is noted as LPCM 5.1 ( NOT Dolby True HD or DTS Master) or what not..what setting on the receiver do i use or set it at?
