Adventure/Disaster Preliminary Poll!! Vote "7" Films Only!! - Blu-ray Forum

Ok here is the Adventure/Disaster preliminary poll! Choose the top 7 movies as only 7 will advance. I am gonna have this poll opened for a few days and I will continue to make all of the polls over the next few days so the voting can take place. Remember vote for the 7 u want to see make the tourney. Base it on how u feel. Remember its not best or fav poll, its overall and all up to u! Also remember only actual votes will count so dont just list your picks without voting or your votes wont count!

Also remember that its hard to list every movie in the genre as it would be to long so I am listing based on website hype or recent polls that Ive seen. Remember only top "7" advance anyway so if a movie u recognize isnt on the list then just pick the 7 from what is listed. There are a lot of categories and certain movies can fall under a diff category. Have fun guys! Let keep it goin......Got Em!!

Thanks for including two Disney films, even if they're out of place!

This was the toughest to pick yet because there just weren't many good films listed (I'm not blaming you--it's more the genre than anything). I literally had to force myself to pick 7.

Czar, when do these polls close btw?

U know what though. Aladdin & Lion King are considered adventure! I looked them up on a couple of sites and they have them both as animated adventure. I felt it would work. I will include Beauty and the Beast in romance. I make the polls about 5 days each so they get equal time. Got Em!!

Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure- I wish this would do good but I know it will not.

Just curious though...you go with something as obscure as Zorro the Gay Blade (Comedy) and leave off one of the greatest disaster films of the 1970's in Earthquake.

Again its hard to get every single great film. I just missed that one thats all. As long as I get the majority of the films that are needed I am ok with that. Its hard to make everyone happy. I do agree with u though. But I think the overall poll is still good enough to get a great 7! Got Em!!

Indiana Jones is one of the greatest adventure heroes ever. The mummy is a fun take on the genre with the perfect amount of action and silliness. Dante's Peak and Twister are two of the only disaster movies I enjoy. Dr. Strangelove is just one of the best movies ever made, certainly one of the best satires.
