Default Speaker question (for dummies, hey thats me)

Hi guys,

I have a stupid question about speakers and i've searched and cannot find the answer i am looking for. thus , i come to the experts

I am thinking of take my RCA HTIB speakers and making them in-wall speakers (long story and this may only be temporary until i get $$ for good speakers/amp) but for now this is what i would like to do

My speakers are the regular ones (i guess) block box, black grill, speaker wire terminals on the rear and the air hole (at least i assume the hole is for air flow) Is the hole for air flow?

Anyway, my 2 options are these

1) Cut the wall and place my RCA speaker(s) in the whole, but a white grill and be done with it. but the air hole would then be facing the rear of my wall (concrete) Is this ok? Or should I block that hole and drill a new one on the front?

or

2) Remove the speaker from the speaker box and just mount the RCA speakers in the cut drywall

Which would be better?

Yes i know neither is ideal and it will probably sound bad but look ok and thus i will have some fuel for the fire togetsome $$ from the ball-n-chaiin
