Fantasy/Animation Preliminary Poll!! Vote "7" Films Only!! - Blu-ray Forum

Ok here is the Fantasy/Animation preliminary poll! Choose the top 7 movies as only 7 will advance. I am gonna have this poll opened for a few days and I will continue to make all of the polls over the next few days so the voting can take place. Remember vote for the 7 u want to see make the tourney. Base it on how u feel. Remember its not best or fav poll, its overall and all up to u! Also remember only actual votes will count so dont just list your picks without voting or your votes wont count!

Also remember that its hard to list every movie in the genre as it would be to long so I am listing based on website hype or recent polls that Ive seen. Remember only top "7" advance anyway so if a movie u recognize isnt on the list then just pick the 7 from what is listed. There are a lot of categories and certain movies can fall under a diff category. Have fun guys! Let keep it goin......Got Em!!

Good list czar, although if you're going to include films from a series, like Harry Potter, you should include all of them. Most people consider the third, which you included, or the most recent, which you didn't, the best in the series.

Also, Eternal Sunshine is a romance film first and foremost. But hey, just some small complaints!

I voted for:

1) Star Wars
2) Up
3) Monsters Inc
4) Toy Story
5) Ratatouille
6) Eternal Sunshine
7) Ice Age

I would have voted for the LOTR films, but everyone's going to vote for those and I didn't want to waste three votes by picking all three.

Also, not to be petty, but Czar you should have included the classic Disney films like Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King. I think they would undoubtedly been two of the seven getting to the next round, no question about it.

Yea the only reason I didnt list every single part of those long franchises are because I wanted more of a variety and didnt want a very long list. Just as in the horror genre there were a bunch of films with a lot of sequels but I didnt want to list them all. Hopefully it doesnt stir up to much. There are some great films listed and enough to choose from. Got Em!!

Yea they couldve been. I am gonna have our bubble list or snub list after all the categories are done. Because in every poll there are gonna be a couple of films that didnt make the cut for the preliminary poll and well call those the bubble teams or movies just like march madness. Haha! Got Em!!

Def, the Harry Potter thing is a small complaint--I wouldn't have voted for them anyways. Eternal Sunshine and The Fountain I think got screwed by being in categories that they're not remotely a part of though. Doesn't mean they'd get through in romance, but they'd def have a shot.

Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King are inexcusable though! But hey, this your deal and I'm cool with it!

No worries, but when those two would almost definitely make it through on this list, it's a pretty big miss.

Hey, you put Eternal Sunshine as a fantasy film and The Fountain as sci-fi film, so why not Beauty and the Beast as a romance, since it is anyways

I hate you CZAR, this was too tough!

I like quite a bit of the films on the list, but my top 7 votes went to

Return of the King (my favorite movie)
Empire Strikes Back (my 3rd favorite movie)
Return of the Jedi (3rd best of the 6 Star Wars movies. Revenge of the Sith would have gotten this vote if it was there)
Toy Story (Pixar's first and finest imo)
The Two Towers (narrowly beat out Fellowship for my vote)
Avatar (Lion King would have easily taken this spot if it were there)
A Bug's Life (my 2nd favorite Pixar film, slightly ahead of Up, which is impressive since I just saw Up again last night)

Ahh gotcha. I obviously haven't made my distaste a secret! I don't hate the film, I just don't love it. However, I fully plan on revisiting it because I really think that I'll start to like it.
