It's truly amazing and Disgusting how good Blu Ray Looks on a 17 inch LCD at 1920 by 1200 resolution. I mean it's just a 17 inch Screen, and in theory or first thought you'd think you wouldn't see much of a difference between standard DVD's and Blu Rays but I love watching films on my 17 inch notebooks. Granted my notebook is packing a 7950 GTX SLI but it's just Sick... Now I can hook up these notebooks to my LCD's and move over to 1080 p and all and it still looks great, but on a true bright screen it's just spectacular. Currently watching Apocolypto, a real treat.

I have 2 laptops and both of them have Blu Ray burners, One is a Dell XPS M1710 and has a resolution that's 1900 by 1200. I mean I just maximize the screen and granted it still has the cut off, but I belive I'm still running the same standard ratio, although I can cut or expand the ratio, but it often begins to look weird, at the same time it great for adjusting the images once I display them upon my Bravia Via DVI converted to HDMI (No image loss what so ever)
My second notebook is an Alienware M9750 both laptops run on 7950 GTX, just that the Alien has Dual 7950's for a gig of dedicated memory. Both of fairly the exact same LCD either Samsung or LG 17 inch widescreen with a Mirror finish pulling a MASSIVE resolution. Kind of a shame that I only play Company of Heros, considering these machines are beats for gaming, but it's not like I have the money to buy Both Blu Rays and Videogames nor the time LoL. For now I'll stick with buying High Def films along with backing them up. Now if only the price of blank Blu Ray Discs could decline a litte. OH I think the LCD is 4 MS REsponse. http://www.dell.com/content/products...=19&l=en&s=dhs http://alienware.com/product_detail_...de=SKU-DEFAULT Highly recommending to get one of these, they're way superior to any sony notebook, even if sony invented Blu Ray, but these notebooks are just state of the art, you'll enjoy everything that comes with the experiance.
