Default Sony Cambridge working on PS3 game (finally!)

Sony Cambridge have got job adverts up for lead programmers on PS3 which means they are moving from concept to production phase on their long-awaited PS3 game.

Generally they are known around Europe as technical Gods and are usually asked by SCEE to help out other studios in need or even third parties (sort of like ICE in SCEA regions). Since most third parties are up to speed with PS3 programming it obviously gives Cambridge more time to spend making their own IPs.

I think they are working on Arc Sports mini games (think Wii Sports Resort) and another different core IP, but we shall see in November with the launch of Arc.

MediEvil was great on PS1 but hasn't aged well with the loose melee combat. I only played demos of Ghosthunter and Primal don't remember too much about them except they were very good looking for PS2 at the time and Primal supported progressive scan. I also won a signed piece of artwork from Primal. Hopefully the IP's a bit more enticing on PS3.

Original works:

PlayStation
MediEvil
MediEvil II
C-12: Final Resistance

PlayStation 2
Primal
Ghosthunter
24: The Game

Can't really draw any conclusions, we'll just have to see!

I bet it's something Arc related like:

Arc Play (Eye Toy Play but with Arc integration)
Arc Fit (Eye Toy Kinetic but with Arc integration)
Arc Dance (Eye Toy Groove but with Arc integration)
Arc Sports (Eye Toy Sports but with Arc integration)
Arc Pet (Eye Pet patched for Arc support)
