Default MyerEmco Closing all its stores (up to 50% off everything)

MyerEmco is closing all its stores soon. I think that leaves Ultimate Electronics stores as the only nationwide high-end electronics stores that still exist (only 10 states). Best Buy and Walmart will be the main stores consumers go for displays now. Since Circuit City is gone Walmart has been starting to carry a bigger selection of medium quality electronics and not just the lower priced brands and models. Hopefully Best Buy will start to carry more higher-end speakers in their Magnolia section as more high-end stores close down.

Here is the link to the MyerEmco Closing Shop article at Twice

http://www.twice.com/article/448942-MyerEmco_Closing_Shop.php

MyerEmco 7 stores are located in the Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C. Area.

Ultimate Electronics is located in 10 different states.

Correction: Technically to be considered nationwide the store might need to be in all 50 states. Best Buy and Walmart are located in all 50 states.

Not to split hairs because it sucks to see any high end place close it's doors but the article says it's a DC area company, that hardly qualifies as nationwide. I can't think of any truly nationwide high end A/V retailers now that you mention it.

I guess to be true nationwide the store needs to be in all 50 states like Best Buy and Walmart.

I would settle for a store in at least half of the states That being said, if it was closer I would certainly be checking out the sales.
