Should I get the Onkyo SR606 Off Ebay?

It's used an in great condition, Looks like the max, I'll be paying for it will be under 300, shipped. I'm gearing towards a 2.1 system, avid music listener.. Will this receiver make a great buy for my specifics, and eventually 5.1 system?

i dunno. a brand new 607 from amazon is about 429 shipped. and you get a warranty. the newer model will scale up to 1080p from hdmi the 606 only 1080i if that matters. so basically that depends on your needs. the 600 line have been pretty solid receivers.

i would be concerned buying used with no warranty. your not exactly sure how the unit was treated regardless what the seller says.

I'm pretty sure the warranty is over and done with, a 300 dollar paper weight, would be fairly an expensive one.. thanks for the input.

since they are listed as an onlyo authorized dealer on the onk's site, i would be comfortable with that. you could also check out ALL of onks authorized dealers for the best price.
