We have arrived to the Final Four!! Just to be clear for some of those that dont follow March Madness here is how it works. This poll will have 4 films but they are in matchups. The Paramount Region winner takes on the Sony Pictures winner and the Warner Bros. winner takes on the New Line winner. So the first 2 films listed are up against each other so pick only one and do the same for the second 2 films as only 1 film can advance from each matchup. This will be opened for 3 days which is plenty of time to get your votes in. The winners of these 2 matchups will advance to the Championship Match.

Also this is not a best of or favorites matchup. I would say vote based on the overall take of the film u either feel is better or that u like better or a combination of both! Its up to u of what films to vote for and why. Below is the bracket link for this region just to make sure u understand what the matchups are. Here we go. Lets get this started!! Got Em!!

That's the EXACT thing I've been trying to prevent.

I went Indy and Lord of the Rings, if it was Empire Vs Return of the king, I would of voted Empire, it's my fave out the star wars films.

So this is what we come down to?? 3 fantasy films and an adventure film for the final four!! I know this isnt necessarily a best of tournament but I am still shocked that these are the 4 films we have. There are so many great films out there, I expected sumthin a bit different. Oh well what can u do. Got Em!!

raiders b/c it was the 1st in the series and got it right right off the bat.

a new hope....and the only reason for this is b/c return of the king gets long in the end....almost on the brink of being too long and drawn out.

So I'm still upset that Shawshank got taken out but if anyone is voting for a LOTR movie over Episode 4, they should be ashamed of themselves.

No way Return of the King beats the original first Star Wars......some of yall should be committed!

I really think it is the divide in age for the most part. I feel that people who grew up with Star Wars have more respect for it, and those who unfortunately grew up with on the New Trilogy of Star Wars vote LOTR. Granted I am only 29 so I was merely alive at release of ROTJ, but I watched them so much growing up. I would say the majority of voters for LOTR are likely younger. I could be completely wrong but just my 2 cents.

That sounds about right. The new Star Wars trilogy is not regarded as good as the LOTR trilogy and I think that might cause some backlash on the original trilogy.

A New Hope still outweighs Return of the King by a long shot. ROTK was a good movie but didn't introduce anything new. ANH introduced new special effects, helped create ILM and THX sound, and jump started a multi-billion dollar industry.

The graphics you picked in the bracket are awesome! It's shaping up to be an Empire Strikes Back vs Return of the King matchup in the finals. I think Empire is gonna win the whole shabang!!!

Two of my three favorite movies have made it to the final four

I honestly think A New Hope makes it so high in so many rankings because a lot of people give it credit for its influence on the industry. Which is fine for this tournament because CZAR said make your decisions by your own methods. But for just which movie is better lists, totally ignoring industry influence and such, I doubt it would have made it to the top or near the top of so many lists.
