We have reached the Final Four! All the number #1 seeds made it except for Schinderler's List (sorry Jhiggy!) This poll will be opened for 3 days which is plenty of time to get your votes in. The winner of these 2 match ups will advance to the Championship game! The 2 match ups are Avatar Region Champ (1) The Godfather vs. Inglorious Basterds Region Champ (1) The Godfather Part II. Also we have the Hurt Locker Region Champ (3) The Departed vs. Precious Region Champ (1) Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

Also this is not a best of or favorites match up. I would say vote based on the overall take of the film u either feel is better or that u like better or a combination of both! Its up to u of what films to vote for and why. Here we go. Lets get this started! Got Em!!

I am one of the few people who prefer Godfather over II, and I picked Departed.

Both Godfathers because they're far and away the two best films of the four, although I do really like ROTK. I have to admit that I'm continually baffled by the love for the Departed. That film, imo, was an above average crime thriller but nothing more. It isn't one of the top 5 Scorsese films and isn't one of the top 5 crime thriller/dramas.

Totally agree with you here , Im very suprised to see this here and films like Schindlers List not , Ah well ROTK and Godfather Part 2 for me.

They are up against each other though, you can't (or aren't supposed to) vote for both.

I think it's much better than either of the Godfather films. In fact I didn't vote in the Godfather bracket because I think they both kind of stink.

The majority of Cinema fans would disagree with the opinion. Godfather is the finest film I have ever seen. And I am still p'oed too about Schindler's List and Casablanca not being here. Oh well, we all know the fanboys will make LOTR win again even though it is far from the Best Best Picture.

Agree on all accounts, except I consider Schindler's List the finest film of all-time, with Godfather second.

I had a hard time watching the Godfather movies without being bored out of my mind. That is why I didn't like them. That being said I also felt the same way about Casino and Scarface. I did really like the Departed though.

I like Casino, but am not a big fan of Scarface. Scarface is the most overhyped movie of all time. It is not even close to De Palma's best film.

Casino is a mediocre Scorsese film, but still entertaining. I agree about Scarface--it's only popular because of the hip-hop culture. I think most people who really watch movies, like most on this site, realize that it isn't a great film even though it can be entertaining.
