Recently I have become addicted to collecting steelbooks and I just wanted to make a thread containing all Blu Steelbooks. This thread is also open for discussion. Things like "What is a Steelbook?" can be answered here.

What is a Steelbook?

SteelBook is the new exclusive packaging for your high profile music, video & games releases. Steelbook consists of a metal exterior and an inner core of plastic and has the same dimensions as a standard DVD style case.

The Pans Labyrinth (Germany release) is region free, but I believe it doesn't have english subs.

I really like the steelbooks, but plan on limiting myself to North American versions. The I am Legend steelbook from Canada is really nice. Hopefully we'll get some more of these in North America, and specifically in the US.

They are hard metal cases, typically with full bleed screen printing, sometimes also with embossing effects (like the Cloverfield DVD). In the US, seldom as they turn up, they're usually exclusive to a certain retailer.

The canada version is sold out BUT you can pre-order the german one that has a different cover.

They don't match the rest of the collection so you can keep them. If the collection isn't uniform I ain't buying it.

Well you're going to have a pretty sucky collection as time goes on, as you miss out on all the TV shows and box sets and deluxe editions. But hey, have fun!

why? This has nothing to do with europe? And I got that "What is Steelbook?" from Steelbook.com so i don't know what your smoking. This a LIST of ALL Steelbooks. Right now none have been released in the U.S. so there is no reason to move this.

P.S. I have never even looked at your trade thread. I don't normally go there.
