Default 42" vs 50" 1080p TV

Ok, does size have anything to do with viewing quality? Will a 42" tv look better than the 50" tv, same exact model, type, etc? Or in the 1080p HDTV realm, is there no difference in PQ when it comes to size?

You'll be getting minimal increment of PQ when you go from 42" to 50", even at 1080p. But as you go larger, like 60" and above, you'll get to see what HD is about.

Of course, 60" is in the realm of RPTV. Anything above 70" is projectors.

Thumbs up 57 Inches!!

I have a 57 inch Mitsubishi DLP that can process a 1080P signal and does 24 frames per second as well. I just love the PQ on this set. The lush green jungle in Apocalypto looks almost 3-D. Casino Royale is another Blu-Ray disc that looks fantastic in 1080P. I was going to get the 52 in model, but the price was too good to pass up on the WD-Y57. I can't see going back to a smaller size now, it is too late, I have bonded with my set.

Default wait......what?!?

ok your saying that as you get bigger the PQ gets better?!? i though it gets worse......ive heard/seen that if you go over 50" the PQ gets grainy, i have a 40" sony bravia and bluray movies in 1080p looks flawless (well some have grain like 300....yuck!) so your saying that if i get a 60" hdtv dlp set my ps3 games and movies in 1080p will look better then my lcd braiva 40"????

tv's get smaller the longer you own them. Bigger is better, but standerd tv (cable, satellite) will look worse on a big tv. standerd dvd's (4:3) with look flat/soft.
