How far do you guys sit from your sets. I have a 52b750 and just moved and now I sit nder 7 feet from my set and it hurts my eyes where I dont even want to watch it. So I found a guy atwok who wants to buy it. So my question is should I get a 40 or a 46 led lcd? what do you guys think?

At present 6 feet due to sub bass to get the smoothest response before EQ so the sofa is 6 feet from the CRT screen and video (bed sheet) projecting screen.

Also the perspective of the LCR changes as well making for an even wider wild stereo front stage.

I sit about 7 feet from a 46 inch screen and I think I could get about a foot closer or a foot farther away without any problem. I would go with the 46 inch myself.

PH = Picture Heights.

Most people with direct view sets seem to sit at 4PH

How long was it since you moved? It takes the eyes a while to get used to it. I was using a 54" plasma at 3 feet away, and it was hard for the first couple of weeks, but then I got used to it. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that I couldn't adjust the luminance without messing up the picture, unlike my LCD, so it was a little too bright. Aside from that, the eyes get used to it.

Have you tried lowering the back-light (NOT brightness)? In my own 37" LCD (not Samsung) I set the back-light to 0/5 when using it as a computer monitor to browse the web and stuff. That's when I sit around 3 feet. When I watch movies I increase it to 1/5, and then I'm sitting around 7~8 feet. It works wonderfully for me.

I say stick with the LN52b750, you're going to miss it.

Too far. I have a 40" and I'm about 9 ft away. No point in having 1080P

Should have gotten a 720P Panny plasma at 50"+ cause of my viewing distance.

I'm about 7ft from a 46" screen, and I think yrs of sitting 5 from my 42" has hurt my eyesight. The 7ft mark is much better.
