Default Plasma Calibration Looks Dull/Washed out

Hey I recently had my Pioneer 5020FD calibrated by technicians here in Japan. Before the calibration, blu-rays looked crisped, colors popped off of the screen. Now, after the calibration, I can't help but notice how dull looking the visuals that the TV produces look like. I've never had any of my plasmas in the past calibrated before so I'd like to know if this is what I am supposed to be experiencing???

Thanks.

Well I know on my samsung plasma, the colors can really pop off the screen and are super bright and colorful but it makes everything look unrealistic. I only use that setting when I am watching an animated movie like toy story or up.

I would pop in a movie and look at the skin tones. Do they look realistic or more orangey and redish?

If you still arn't happy with the results give the company you used a call and make them come back.

Thats the way lots of people feel after getting a cali done because they are used to big and bright. What kind of numbers did the tech get out of it if you dont mind me asking...? What mode are you using & what are the settings? What mode did you use before?

Just give it some time. Usually after some time, if done right, you'll start noticing how good it is and notice detail you never saw before.
