Default What's going on with Amazon blu-ray prices?

I've been checking my wishlist and keeping track of low prices. Everything seems to recently gone up $3-5 more than it has been for the last month or even longer.

Because the holiday season is over. Usually the new releases will go back up a week later just like the other retail stores.

However, Star Trek (2009), and District 9 were a few titles for example that were able to sustained at a price of $16.99 for quite some time.

Following Amazon prices requires more attention than following stock prices! I was getting ready to buy Face-Off at the 9.99 price, I went to the site .... BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ no sale for you, back up to 16.99.

Most likely....or maybe they are trying to make up for all the $25 promo certs they issued over the book sale error.

The holiday season has been over for almost 3 months now.

It's true about the price increases. Every released title I have on my wishlist has gone up. Some titles jumped $1, others as much as $5. Something's going on... maybe one of their "sales" is coming.

I was thinking the same thing with the Amazon "sale". They are not doing themselves any favors by keeping media prices high. I have enough to sustain myself for a while, so I can wait until what I want comes down, or find it used.

For a new release, I will preorder from them then cancel when the prices come out near release date, a la Toy Story's.

I don't care where I buy from, just that I get it at a fair price. Their loss, not mine.

They have a different batch of blus that are on sale now, as far as I'm aware.
