Sorry if such a thread has been already made.
But I was just wondering, are there any fans of any kind of this film out there?



I only just saw it recently as a whole myself, while I already having seen big chunks of it apparently.
It was basically like watching a B-movie half the time,
but I definitely appreciate the film-making and story-telling of it.

I of course watched it on DVD, as it's not out on BD yet.
But this one deserves a better transfer and it would look awesome in HD.
Especially cause it has such amazing shots, many wide ones too and on DVD the detail is just not there.

So, did/do you like it or anything you want to say about it, post it here.
Also, would there be a BD of this any time soon? Perhaps coinciding with the (yet another) reboot...
I just hope for a nice release like 'Highlander' in a SteelBook or something.
And do you want to see it on BD?

On a side-note:

I noticed the audio of the speech and such, or anything that was put through the center-channel,
sounds very sharp and just really bad actually.
Even though they put a lot of care into the making of the film, the quality, like the audio, seems 10 years behind.
The age of the film is definitely not an excuse, it's from 1982, that's relatively modern.
But for the audio specifically, it seems like very bad on-location-recording,
and they even did seem to do a lot of lip-syncing for dialogue later too.
So I definitely hope they'll remaster the audio for the speech and half the effects.
Some of the effects were clean and sometimes even awesome, at least in DTS.
But the music in the front-channels sounded great, so it's not the audio of the DVD to blame either.
I don't know what caused it, perhaps the conditions, but I hope it's fixable.
