Default DGB HT set up

It ain't much compared to most of you guys but I'm just really happy to even have it set up and enjoy the films..
I just moved in to an apartment not too long ago so bit of a mess plus lack of decoration.

TV: 42inch panny plasma (I moved the sofa closer to the TV to compensate for the size.. I really wanna make the TV feel bigger haha)

Receiver: H/K... forgot what model but the lowest HT receiver model.. doen'st process HD sound and video is also just pass through but fine for me

Speakers: also H/K.. I think it's HKTS 15 or something the two stands for the rears cost alot more than I thought but the piano black finish matched the speakers and looks pretty sleek. probably the only one who bought those stands.. (sub is stuck in the corner on the left side of the tv stand)

PS3 and some Sony dvd player

Belkin power console thing

i extended the curtains so it can give bit more of 'theatre' feel
hope u guys like my modest set up

I will say that I really like your system.
It and its surroundings have an air of Class around it.

I like the overall look of the AV stand, the components,TV,Speakers,Sofa.
They all blend in to provide both a look and feeling that speaks of styling, and of class.

You have a Nice Company Behind Your AVR and Speakers.
As Harman also owns JBL and Infinity(Unless this has changed somewhat recently)

So their speakers most likely uses designs and even components that JBL and Infinity speakers may share.

And HK has been known for Great Performance in their Receivers and AVR's for a very long time. And from what I have personally heard,it was a well earned reputation.

But I know you have an Audio System that would sound good with Movies and Music.
Add the Sweet Sammy HDTV and inbetween Great Image Quality you have. With the Great Sounding Audio your system produces.

I would be just like you.Not afraid to show it to all of us,and even start a thread to promote your gear.

I think its a Great Foundation you have laid, and a system, that can go just as far as you want it to.

Congratulations.

thank you very much guys!
and yourself have some amazing system there!!
I might not have tower speakers or latest receiver but I'm just happy I don't have to use TV speakers.. and I don't have any hi-fi background or anything so I'm very satisfied at the moment until I hear the sound from tower speakers I guess.
yes this is my very basic set up as it is my first attempt and will upgrade as I go but I don't see myself having a dedicated home theatre room in any near future (financial reason) so I'll probably up the receiver and speakers and if I get another TV for the bedroom, probably move this in to the room.. but not anytime soon.
I don't really have any background in sound system so I can't make any comparison but I also don't have any compaints about Harman Kardon! might stick with this brand for receivers in the future.

as for the TV stand, I was lucky to find that one used. my old Ikea Lack TV stand was too low and had to build a raiser for the TV as the viewing angle wasn't very comfortable. the one I'm using now is also Ikea but I think it looks nice and fits everything I have.

any opinions on Scandyna speakers?? It be cool to have towers but these guys just look so sexy
