Her hope for rescue lies with unlikely heroes: soldier of fortune Tom Cody (Michael Paré, Bad Moon) and his sidekick, the two-fisted beer-guzzling McCoy (Amy Madigan, The Dark Half). Joined by Ellen's manager, Billy Fish (Rick Moranis, Ghostbusters), the trio plunges headfirst into a world of rain-splattered streets, hot cars, and deadly assassins.

This cult favorite features a razor-sharp cast and original songs written by Jim Steinman, Stevie Nicks, Tom Petty and Ry Cooder and performed by The Blasters and The Fixx. Directed by cult filmmaker Walter Hill (The Warriors, Southern Comfort, 48 Hrs.), Streets of Fire is a rock & roll shotgun blast to the senses.

Had an inkling Shout would release this eventually...didn't have the patience and got the German version a few weeks ago. But will definitely get this one as I'm sure it'll have a major improvements just with the special features alone.

I'll wait to see what the reviews are and what's on the bonus disc. I got the UK blu ray three years ago and it was great all around.

Such an awesome and fun movie. I've only recently watched it for the very first time and I loved it. For some reason I thought Arrow released it in the UK, but they didn't. It was Second Sight. Shout will have no problems to trump the European releases.

Especially given the new transfer.
