Angry Just dropped and damaged two of my Blu-rays...

On the way home today, I stopped off at Blockbuster and picked up The Twilight Saga: New Moon, The Fourth Kind and (500) Days of Summer. Literally as soon as I paid for them, my phone rang. I quickly popped New Moon into the bag and answered my phone, carrying the other two in my hand. Walked out of the store, crossed the street, etc. Then all of a sudden I hear "PHIL!" and I'm jumped from behind by an old friend. I'm OK, my phone's OK... you wanna guess what's not OK? Yep, my two brand-new Blus. They fell on the side of the road and got scuffed up. The case of (500) Days of Summer is now cracked at the bottom and one of the discs was loose when I opened it. Fourth Kind got it worse, though. Where you open the case, a whole chip had fallen out and a bit of the plastic was ripped in the same place.

I gotta go get some replacement cases now.

The moral of the story? ALWAYS put your Blus in the bag until you get home and don't have friends who jump you from behind.

Sorry to hear that. I can't believe they got that damaged from a 4-5 foot drop. I've certainly dropped DVDs and BDs from that height before onto concrete, and the cases never even popped open.

Charge your buddy for the damage.

I had to act like I wasn't completely pissed about the damage. "Oh, yeah, sure, they should be fine," I said. Inside I was thinking something totally different...

Oh well,

Cases are cheap and Blus are very scratch resistant.

I think it's gonna be ok.

Dam. that's messed up. Dropped my supernatural down a flight of stairs. All that got messed up was the inside hinge that held the disc. LOL.

Bad luck for u man. Shoulda put the other two into the bag instead of twilight.

That sucks man. I have like 4 blu ray's that have the corner piece chipped off. I only dropped one...the other 3 for some reason just fell off. Its like they were loose and once I bought them and took the plastic wrap off they just broke.

Yeah I would smack the crap out of my friend if he wrecked one of my movies, at the very least I'd make him pay for the damage.

His exact words were: "Ah, sorry, man. They were just movies."

I acted like it didn't bother me when nothing could be further from the truth. If the scene was a cartoon, steam would've been coming out of my ears.

Hope your blus are okay. At least it was only the cases I hope. I just ordered five blu cases, not the eco ones, off of Ebay and since I had over three dollars in Ebay bucks I got them for four dollars and some change.
But still waiting to hear back from an Ebay seller. Bought Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets and the dimwit mailed it in a non bubble wrapped container resulting in a wickedly bad chipped case. If he wants to keep his 100% feedback score he best do something for me right quick or else

Yeah, it was just the cases, thank God. Had a look at the discs themselves when I got in and they were mint.
