Default Need some help on a shooter

Ok first off cod4 was the first shooter the ive ever played online and i have about 37 days played last time i checked.

Ive tried to play other games but they don't "feel" the same-bought KZ2 liked the single player but the "heavier movement" didn't reel me in so i stayed out of the multi-player, same way for BFBC2 its a fun game but i don't like the simulated weight.

i have and hate mw2 but it does control how im used to.

cod4 is basically dead cept for weekends
my question is are there any 1st person shooters that control like cod4 but aren't cod games?

Try Borderlands. It has a feel like COD but it doesn't have competitive multiplayer. It does have 4 player co op though and it is a hell of a game.

Sorry brother you'll probably have to wait for the next big game to come, Seems like MW followed down the path of other games and thats to tweak and mess with a near perfect product which can drive hardcore users away.

I'd give BFBC2 another try and see if you can get used to the weight. Other than MW2, that's where the online shooters are at and the game does offer several things that MW2 doesn't.

its not that i didn't like BFBC2. i loved the maps, the game types the teamwork NEEDED to win. its just that its frustrating to keep getting pwnd every single game. the only way i can get any kills is recon...if i try to help my team any other way all i do is die over and over and over again so i don't even go for the objective when we're not defending

I started MAG after playing CoD4 for two years and playing CoD2 the two years before that. It's my favorite FPS to play now. The controls aren't as smooth as CoD, but that is because CoD has an insane amount of aim assist.

I hated MW2 and liked BFBC2 also. I found MAG to be funner and I liked the controls better so that is why I bought MAG over BFBC2.

Didnt buy MAG but I really enjoyed the public beta. Give MAG a rent and see how you like it.
