Thanks!

I have both but I prefer Dexter. Six Feet Under is much more serious, obviously, but it can be funny. I'm only on season one of SFU so I don't have much of an opinion or much to go on, but Dexter is my choice. I'm obsessed with it.

You could buy season one of each and go from there

I was watching SFU through BlockBuster and was kinda iffy about it but watched a later season and liked it. I kept thinking about the show so I gave it a few more tries. I bought the complete series so I can watch it when I want to.

I'd get both. I currently have SFU complete and need to start picking up Dexter. SFU has some "filler" or soft episodes, but overall, I love it. And Dexter is Dexter, there's no not liking it!

Six Feet Under is widley considered on the best tv series ever made. It is my favorite series of all time. Dexter is also great, I would myself go with SFU first. I think it actually makes me enjoy Dexter more by doing it this way, because it has showed me what an amazing actor Michael C Hall is.

Never watched Six Feet Under but I may buy it at some point, but I'd definitely recommend Dexter. It is a great show and a very good Blu-ray. Season one is amazing, and season two and three are very good as well. Season four is great as well and I can't wait to rewatch that when it comes out in August.

Definitely buy Six Feet Under. Great show. I watch Dexter sometimes but I definitely prefer SFU over it.

Both are great shows, and both feature the great Michael C. Hall . I'd just start with Six Feet Under, and then work up chronologically with Dexter after that.

I vote for Dexter. That is what I am gonna buy next when I get enough cash. I have only watched partial season 3 and all of season 4. So Dexter is worth the purchase and the price. I heard Dexter on blu-ray looks great!

Dexter is more "suspensful" and "riveting" - SFU is a wonderful drama.

You can't go wrong with either - depends what you happen to be in the mood for.

I'd wait on SFU. HBO is trying to put all there stuff on blu, so it may come out sometime soon. I've never seen SFU, but Dexter is an INCREDIBLE show. It's one of the best shows on tv right now.

Six Feet Under has much less general appeal than Dexter. It is not a slam on the show, but Dexter would be considered more mainstream entertainment. Dexter takes the standard serial killer genre, and re-invents it.

I'm happy that I saw SFU. There are great moments, and a fantastic ending; but it's pretentious and melodramatic, and I don't feel compelled to watch it again. So I'd say wait till there's a really good sale.

Dexter may not reach the dramatic high that SFU sometimes does, but it doesn't hit the eye rolling lows either.
I thought the first season was a little dry until near the end, but overall, it's just incredibly entertaining.

I agree. I love SFU as well but it's depressing. I have the complete DVD myself but I've only watched the whole thing once. Great casting and a lot of heavy stuff so just a warning. The finale was heartbreaking and brought me to tears!

Love both but six feet under is the better show and everyone should own the complete collection if you are a fan of amazing writing and acting

The show is full of amazing drama, laughs and cries i don't see how anyone could pick dexter before SFU but everyone has an opinion
