Default Toy Story - Now or Later?

Ok I did a quick search and found nothing relating to this, but sorry if I missed something and it is a double post. My question is should I buy Toy Story and Toy Story 2 now, while I can get them buy one get one free, or later, considering Toy Story 3 will probably be released in a boxset with them.

I am waiting for a Pixar sales, Future Shop always has one every few months.

My friend is waiting for the box set that we can bet will be release later this year.

Ummm, pretty much up to you, isn't it? Do you want to own them now? or do you want to wait for a box set?

Me, personally, am waiting in hopes around Thanksgiving/Christmas time, they will release Toy Story Steelbooks.

Well here in the UK (I think I posted this in the wrong thread section, but the concept still remains) there is currently a Buy One Get One Free offer on all Disney Blu-Rays and DVDs, which is my main incentive to screw the boxset and own my childhood classics asap.

The thing that's stopping me though is the thought of Pixar releasing a special set including all of them. But I'm saying special set, because to be honest I don't care if it's just Toy Story 1, 2 and 3 thrown in a cardboard box (a la Pirates of the Carribean, Spider-Man etc.) but more if they are doing something big for it

Most members here got them both on release day for around $18 out the door.

Even in the UK, can't you take advantage of the free movie ticket offer to see TS3 through DisneyMovieRewards if you buy the first two BRs now? I bought the two BRs and got two tickets.

Buy them asap ... enjoy them till the version you desire comes out ... then sell them out through ebay or amazon marketplace or even the trading forum ...

The deals in the US were incredible but I can't comment on your area. However, unless B1G1 sales happen on Pixar movies (never happens in the US) I'd say the best price is today. BB might have steelbook later so one may not want to double dip if that's a concern.

As far as the box set goes I dunno. Like you said POTC only had a box encasing it & National Treasure didn't have anything for the two. If Nemo comes out there may be more deals again with Nemo/TS3. Personally I wouldn't coun't on any special boxed set. 3D is around the corner as well so there may be other plans in the works other than 2D. Who knows?

Thanks to everyone who replied. Unsure if the movie tickets are included but Disney Movie Rewards was somewhere on the packaging so it could be. I've decided to take the majority advice and just go for it, thanks for the help

The way it worked for me was that I entered the code on the DisneyRewards insert (which does NOT mention the free ticket offer). After I entered the code, I received an email with an additional code that I was able to use for the movie cash. To use this second code, I had to go to disneymovierewards.com/ticket if I remember correctly. Looks like it may be Canada/USA only, however...

There is no harm in getting them now especially if you can get them Buy 1 Get 1 Free. I'm waiting until I see the third movie before I decide. If I enjoy 3 then I'll wait for the 3 movies to come out together.

They're probably not going to remaster the Blu's for 1 & 2, so if you love them, and have the money, why not just buy them now? You can always get the third one later...
