Default Does there seem to be more entitlement these days?

I don't know if it's just me or maybe as I get older I'm getting grouchy and noticing this, but are people becoming more entitled?

This comes up because I was getting in back and fourths on Facebook about the new NES mini that is coming out. Many people seem to believe that because the games are so old they aren't worth much and running emulators for them is justified because of age. They seem to think Nintendo and others should just give them out because they are old.

I've noticed it in other places too like people thinking Netflix should have everything they are looking for. As if that $12 a month they pay justify them having access to everything. I've seen people say they pirate movies and shows because Netflix doesn't have them and it's the studios fault for not putting it on Netflix. These people seem to have no idea that things need to be licensed and cost money. The world doesn't revolve around you.

I also know a guy who pirates smaller movies that aren't playing locally yet. Instead of waiting for it to be actually released he thinks he is justified to just watch it for free since Cinemark doesn't have it showing. This isn't supposed to be a I want it now so give it to me society.

So am I just getting grouchy as I get older or are people really seeming to have more entitlement?
