Should I wait? - Blu-ray Forum

I have a ps3 and I'm looking to buy a standalone Blu-Ray player. I was wondering if I should wait a few months until BD-J is finished and players are updated to support this or if I should purchase one now. I also figured that prices will be dropping closer to the holiday season. Any thoughts?

Given that you already have a PS3, I'd say wait. Profile 1.1 is finished, it's just that we're not past the date where its mandatory...

Spend your $$ buying more Blu-ray movies! :-)

I would wait as well and I actually am. Spend that money on the tons of exclusive Blu-Ray movies coming this holiday season.

might as well wait for the next generation of players to come out while you're at it....

either get a current one alot cheaper...or a new one with all the latest up's...

I say the PS3 is the best player for the price. Stick with it for now. Wait until the newer model players are out and then strike.
But as for me, I'm sticking with my PS3!
