Default surge protector...how many joules?
hey guys. so i just bought a new tv for our bedroom, SV370XVT Vizio 37 inch and i wanted to buy a surge protector for it. did some reading and found out there are so many options that work, some very expensive options, some cheaper ones. my home theater set up is a combo of 50 inch Pioneer, Onkyo AVR and PS3. we live in north carolina...not lightning central, but still. what recommendations do you have for protection?
is a surge protector, such as (http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-12-Outl...ata/B000HPX46U) be sufficient enough? or is a conditioner necessary? seems like a conditioner is over kill, but then how many joules is enough from a surge protector?
