Default District B13 ?

With the new movie coming out here soon, I was more curious about the first one.

I have read the reviews and it looks interesting (due to the stunts)...but is it worth owning?
I know its an 'each to his/her own' sort of thing...but I was just curious as to what ppl thought about the flick.

I love this movie, very entertaining.
If you like Luc Besson's Yamakasi, then I think you will love it.

Agreed.

If you aren't going into this movie looking for a thought provoking storyline and will be satisfied with some mindless action, it is thoroughly entertaining.

Just a heads up.

The film's original language is French but...

Instead of proper English subtitles that are a translation of the French language, Magnolia saw fit to only include English subtitles for the hearing impaired.

To make it worse, these are actually dubtitles where the English dub is transcribed on screen along with the sound effects and music cues.

If you have the UK release like I do the subtitles are correct and in the image frame, as it should be.

I'm selling it along with the sequel Ultimatum, if you are interested.

Okay..stupid question....but why would that be? Shouldnt the UK disc for each film be the same region coding?

I rented it and liked it. Have not bought it yet. If I can get it from under $14 or so then I might buy it.

Magnolia US and Momentum UK may have agreed to release the first film at the same time so that would explain the all region compatibility. Since Ultimatum has not been released on home video in the US, Momentum UK is protecting the distribution rights for Magnolia US by region coding the sequel.

Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle US is all region but Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanomo Bay is Region A locked.

Same goes for Lost: seasons 3 & 4 are Region A locked but seasons 1 & 2 are all region.
