Magnolia's got another title out that seems to be showing up weirdly. District B13 is listed as a 1/25/2007 release at Amazon and apparently the discs are out as Kris Deering indicates he has one for review.

81% on Rotten Tomatoes (excellent number!)

Great price on Amazon too, but it shows 4-6 week delivery.

I liked it. Maybe not quite as much as The Protector (International version) but I might buy it again on Blu.

Kris Deering is one of those super-tech guys at AVS. He reviews for hometheaterhifi

He hasn't posted the review up on the web yet, but he said it would be Tier 1 material.

I watched it yesterday, after Casino Royale. While the movie itself is rather silly and IMHO dubbing sux in general, but action is simply awesome. So, overall I liked it a lot for what it was. PQ was very good, there aren't many dark scenes in the movie, everything is brightly lit pretty much all the time, so it shouldn've been a problem.
Fight scenes are superb, especially the one in the beginning at the casino, and parkour sequences are just stunning, definitely on par with Casino Royale construction site chase. Obviously B13 budget was much lower compared to CR, but as far as free running goes it's very well done.

In short both movies are in top 10 of my BD collection.

I'm still waiting on my copy to arrive from Amazon. I ordered it during the 50% off sale with a few other BDs. I just got an email from them today saying that there is a delay on that particular title. They must have sold out before they could ship my order out and that's why I have been waiting so long for my order to ship.

I love this movie! But I can't imagine watching it (or any movie really) in a language other than what was intended.

it was like Crank as far as i'm concerned. not much in the way of a deep story, but the action is exciting. I rented the BD from blockbuster T.A. I tried it with subtitles (i prefer the original languages to crappy dubs) and they just talk to fast to follow it, and I didn't like the english track. but I liked it. I passed on it at amazon unfortunately, i'm trying to show some restraint.

I saw this title last year and liked it. Another great free running scene. I failed to jump on it quick enough with the 50% off amazon sale and now it says 4-6 week wait. So I'll have to pick it up another time.

I watched it, but on DVD and I watched it Dubbed. I feel you miss important parts of the film reading the subs. Its was silly wathing there mouth go completely differently from what they were saying. I thought it was a great film, a cool ending too. The casino part is just fantastic. I don't know if you have seen Kiss of the Dragon but i noticed the Cop in the film is in K.O.T.D. Just thought I would let you know.

Yup, casino fight is very nice. That cop is Cyril Raffaelli, he was also in KOTD, psycho cop. Actually he is a stunt coordinator in many other movies, including Both transporters, Wasabi etc...

Same here, so I cancelled B13 from my order, today, to get the shipping process moving again. Then, I went down to MovieStop and picked it up for $19.99 + tax.

I really enjoyed the action sequences! This is a good action movie. The video and audio quality was very good as well.
