I recently purchased the Sony KDS-R50XBR1. Great TV with 1080p. The issue is that even though it can upconvert to 1080p, it cannot accept the signal directly through HDMI. I still dont understand the reasoning behind it.
Anyway, once Blu-ray and PS3 are available, is there box or connector that will downconvert the 1080p to a 1080i signal? This way I can take the 1080i and upconvert it into my TV as 1080p. Any suggestions?? Thanks. - John |
