Default Shark Week question

OK, we have the Discovery Channels Shark Week coming in July. At almost 6 hours and currently $24 smackers, it seems like a good deal.

The subject matter interests me, however, I have never seen the show.

Tell me about the show please. Good documentary type stuff?

Thank you.

"Shark Week" isn't a show. Every year, the Discovery Channel runs a week of shark-themed programming. Most of what airs are documentaries, though in recent years, Discovery Channel's own series have done specials (ie. Mythbusters) specifically for "Shark Week".

they are for the most part very good I watch it every year. The one year Mythbusters did a show on the movie Jaws to see if things that happend in the famous scenes of the movie could actually work for real like shooting the scuba tank.

We still don't know which documentaries are going to be included. It looks like this is going to be a totally new/different release from the other DVD sets that have already been released. I wish those would come out on Blu.

Great price.. but I've seen these episodes last year so I might have to pass. Hopefully it will drop and I'll snatch it.

Are there any exclusives? I think Target always had a bonus disc with the DVD versions of the boxed sets.

I could have sworn that at first I saw the title say (Shrek week question), I thought there might be something involves a BD release of Shrek.

As for your question. the shows are actually interesting, they do talk mostly about facts mostly known to people about Sharks, but every now and then they would have a new fact that you learn.

If the shows are out on Blu then it would be a definite purchase.

Pretty much anything documentary-ish (lol) interests me. Well within reason. I wouldn't want to watch a documentary on say sewing. But then again you never know, Discovery has a way of making even the most mundane things interesting.

Well, one thing that came close to The Great White going airbourne in pursuit of seals was the guy that was riding tigers(by the dorsal fin in some cases) in last years Shark Week. That was awesome. That guy was really passionate about those tigers.

I was going to pick this up but upon reading the review I decided against it. I don't need to see dirty jobs or myth busters. I thought it was going to just feature what usually is on during shark week or at least how I remember it.

A lot of the stuff on this set is available to stream on Netflix. A lot of it is older stuff from like when they first started doing shark week and its like the reenactment story type of thing shows where people are talking about almost being killed by sharks.
