Default How to boycott M$

I have decided to boycott Microsoft as much as possible. They are everywhere in our world so if you know of more ways to prevent money from going to M$ then post it.

Never watch MSNBC.

Get a Mac with iWork.

Get rid of any hotmail acounts.

Get free demo discs/material toss them into the eco bins. Point out the waste to others (it worked with AOL).

Engage their sales people in lengthy converstations, "sorry, I'll fax that right over to you...", play the novice by asking really stupid questions, act like you have a small business and with a complex transaction.

Get M$ hardware, continue to take it back saying it doesn't work then demand all your money back.
Get people to stop using their products. That's what I am trying to do now and this means you! Sell your XBOX360 and stop buying their games.

Think about M$'s reach:
They decide how we work and create.
They want to decide how we enjoy our free time.
They decide what news we will know thanks to their large blog community and paid PR people not to mention MSNBC or their MSN site.

That flag of Aaron's isn not far off from the truth. Due to this "war" they now have dictated who we will associate with on the internet. After 20 years they will not get any more money from me if I can help it.

My Macbook Pro has now been ordered. I will get about 1500 dollars in freebies with it. Free iPod Nano, free printer, discounted software bundle and two hundred off the base price of the unit. The educational discounts are outstanding with Apple.

I am not a fan of Microsoft's business tactics and I was sure surprised and disappointed to see Paramount's move, but it is only business and I sure can't find fault with Paramount accepting the deal. Assuming it is legal, it sure seems like a dumb Microsoft business decision to make the payment/incentive package. For Paramount to accept it is smart. How can that generate a good return on investment for Microsoft? I won't boycott Microsoft, their products are too good and I use too many of them. Are you going to avoid buying Blu-ray discs using VC-1?
