Default Instead of just a boycott...

Wouldn't it make much more sense for any of us who own Blu-Ray players of any kind to make sure to pick up at least one BD the day of Transformers release on HD DVD? If we're worried about HD DVD overtaking Blu in sales for that period, if everyone picks one movie they want on Blu-Ray and each person buys a BD that day, considering there are more BD players in the market, wouldn't it offset HD DVD owners buying Transformers in overall sales?

To me, this seems like an easy way to make a BD statement without hurting your wallet on a buy-a-thon or picking up movies you don't care for. However, I'm not trying to talk anyone out of the Sept. 18th Buy-A-Thon, either. I plan to participate. I'm just thinking of a way for those who don't have the funds or don't want to buy movies they don't really want to own to make a Blu statement.
