Default The Simpsons Movie announced for November!

I'm crossing my fingers for a Blu-Ray release the same day.

LMAO at those extras! Ullman view? Susbtitles available in Futurama Alien Aphabet? Pop-up Plagiarism mode? Too funny! I will DEFINITELY be buying a BR copy, should it be released.

edit: after reading more, i thought 'this has to be a joke'... and sure enough, it is... 9 discs? movie in pig latin? the sheer number of deleted scenes?

http://www.nohomers.net/showthread.php?t=63650

still, a funny joke the guy put up.

hopefully the release date is actually true.

That's brilliant! If only this were true.

Seven single-sided, dual-layered discs (DVD-9)

Animatic View: View the movie through animatic (versus the animation)
Storyboard View: View the movie through storyboards

Half screen and Ullman view.

Quote:
Illustrated Commentary (Dirty Edition):
Director David Silverman draws dicks on all the characters.
It's a brilliant parody of DVD release details.

Actually,

I heard a story that they were offered the ability to do telestrator commentary on the Simpsons DVDs(animated subtitles allow them to draw on the screen like football on TV). Their assistant said "why? They'll just sit there and draw mustaches on the characters"

The compression encodes alone will guarantee that they won't.

And picture quality isn't the only issue. An HD release would help boost interest and sales in BD.

That's probably where the joke came from.

The "No Homer's Club" member 'Jamie' made up this joke. You can read more about it here: http://www.nohomers.net/showthread.php?t=63650

Regardless whether or not animation will benefit greatly from a Blu-ray release, FOX would be absolutely out of their freakin' minds to not make this a day-and-date release with the DVD. This will sell a crap load to the playstation 3 crowd.

Well download the Simpsons Trailer 1080p trailer, watch it on a 1080p display (or 720p), download the 480p version, do the same thing..

I mean TMNT on DVD is HORRIBLE (can't beleive IGN gave this one a 8 on DVD it's worth a 2 or 3 top), there so many macroblocks it's not even funny. 2D animation look awesome in HD, i had the chance to see Lion King (ABC) and other disney production and they totally destroy their dvd counterpart...

Is it for BD or just a rumour??
I really want this movie on BD. I plan to leave DVD as soon as I get my BD drive for laptop later this year. Currently I can only use PS3.

Is FOX in habit of releasing BD day and date with DVD version?

Yup, Simpsons will sell a ton on Blu. 300 numbers maybe? I'd love to see that.

300 made 456 million worlwide; Simpsons 440 million(so far)

They are on Fire right now, they annonce 28 week later, day to day and 2 others if i remember. Fox would be stupid not to annonce this one on Bluray..

I watched the Disney animation Mars and Beyond on the Roving Mars BD and it definitely looked stunning at 1080p

Fox has not announced anything about The Simpsons Movie, yet. These news at the moment are hoax.

But I'm quite sure it will be announced in next few weeks, same date for dvd and bluray.
