Now thats my main reason to go blu. Modern releases are nice but when you bring on my fav. movie on blu-ray that is killer, that movie was a blast to watch again and again.

I'm more excited about this movie than anything else that I own or has been announced. A true classic.

I must second the WOLVERINES!!!!

old propaganda movies rock. especially is they have patrick swayze. i porbably butchered that name (i'm on pain killers for my wisdom teeth pulling today). according to my dad I loved this movie when it was on hbo, I was about 4. but it is enjoyable

now that's what i'm talkin about! after seeing red dawn when i was in high school, i've had this constant daydream about the same thing happening to us here in the states. of course this is a different time. this isn't the cold war of the 80's. but foregoing modern warfare... i swear - if anyone went balls out and invaded us like that, they'd be toast.

red dawn is a classic. can't wait.

I'm sorry brothers......

But this had to be the worst movie I have ever seen, maybe when I was younger I enjoyed it but now that I'm older I analyze movies more (may suck the fun out of it) I can go with the occasional far reached scene or that sounds theoretically possible but to say that in the 80's the Russians would of initiated a ground assault of the US and on top of that a high school would be one of there 1st targets is way, way, out there, I can go with the invasion, everyone was afraid of something like that happening but What possible military strategy would involve having to take a small town high school over as soon as they land.

It's a movie!!! One of the best in my opinion. Why would you attack the US head-on? I would sneak in through the backdoor, a small town in the middle of nowhere.

unfortunetly war doesnt work that way, and yes I do realize that it is just a movie, I didnt say I would boycott the studio or directer that made it, I'm just saying it wasn't very good or realistic.

Never saw that one and i'am 30, is that the movie about the Russian, what's the premice..

Family guy rip on that movie A LOT and i'am curious to see it

BTW if i wanted to see realistic stuff all the time, i would be reading the news... not go to the movies, it's great when you balance things out..

Whenever I hear "Red Dawn" it always triggers the Swartzenegger movie "Red Heat" in my head. Anyways, I like both, so I might buy it when it comes on Blu.

It was also the first PG-13 movie. It certainly is fairly violent IIRC, especially in regards to killing kids.

Yeah, I expect it to be released to tie-in with next year's remake.

I suspected as much. The collector's edition greatly improved on the non-anamorphic catalog release from years earlier. I'm thinking if I see that edition I'll pick it up while I can cause with MGM's recent finanical troubles who knows if the movie will be completed.

Hopefully any future release does have a nice little feature dedicated to Patrick Swayze.

And a Steelbook with the Wolverine logo (if they had one, lol)
