Transformers not playing - Blu-ray Forum

I couldnt get my tranformers to play it stayed on the loading screen for like 15 minutes so i returned it and it did it again but after about 5 minutes it finally worked em i the only one its taking this long for?

Nope, sounds like a few people (like me) are also having this problem and that it just takes a long time to load the 1st time.

Yeah it works...Just takes longer to load than the other blu-rays i own....
This is the first time i watched it...So maybe next time it will be faster hopefully....

Yet no one has asked the questions, "Which player are you using?" and "Do you have the latest firmware?"

I hope it is not faulty discs and that I get one.

I am using the ps3...it works fine...just the first load took like 5 minutes.
i havent watched it again to see if it loads faster the second time...I was just wondering if there was a reason....Works fine tho...Looks good

For me, I had to update the firmware on my BDP-S300, and it loads actually pretty quick (which has always been a problem with that player) and it seems to work fine. It's actually with my PS3 where it takes some time to load, but that also works beautifully, the only real problem I had: on my PS3, the first time I went to BD-Live, it couldn't find the connection- so I simply quit playback, opened the browser for a few seconds, then reloaded and it worked. Great title, it's so f---ing awesome! All bow before Blu Optimus Prime!

isnt it because transformers bit rate is a lot higher than older titles. right?

I doubt the menu uses that much bandwidth. Java encoded discs have always been a little tricky, and thus bit of a bear for older Stand Alone players. If it wasn't for java all players would load withing 25 to 35 seconds.

I too had to wait a minute or more while it loaded. All I could think was... how the hell do people with the slower standalones do this for every movie... I'll have to pop it in again and see if loads faster the 2nd time. It's been a couple days.

It took a little longer for Transformers to load on my 80GB PS3 than the other BDs in my collection. But it didn't take anything on the order multiple minutes.

The video quality is great. Certainly beats the crap out of what I recorded off HBO onto my Dish Network ViP722 DVR. No macro-blocking. Lots of fine detail. Plenty of scenes with that near-3D "pop" to them. Oh yeah, the audio is quite a lot better too.

It took about 8 minutes to load. It just stayed in the loading screen.. i think it was trying to connect to BD live but couldn't for some reason. I think the problem is BD live related.

I blame BDLIVE. If it's gonna cause load times like this then I say f*ck it, drop it. It took FOREVER to load and thats on a ps3.

I sure hope there arent any faulty discs. Man im getting worried I hope when I get my copy everything will ruin smoothly.

With the Pioneer Elite 95 with the latest firmware it was no faster or slower than any other java disc...and it looked and sounded reference quality.
