Default Transformers/Transformers ROTF 3D re release?!

I was on Wikipedia so take this with a grain of salt
But while looking through the movies pages, I found Transfomers and Transformers 2 getting released in 3D! In november 5th 2010

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transformers_(film)

Surprising b/c Micheal Bay doesnt like 3D but maybe Toy Story changed his mind?

nothing can improve Transformers 2 unless it gets a major re-edit.

But that would be changing the originals to suit what people want on the internet instead of the artist involved changing them!

Yeesh... then in 20 years we'll have online petitions about re-releasing the originals in 4k {or whatever format is available then}

Thanks, but no thanks.

TF 2 gets no love? I think it was a great sequal. Saw it on its opening day at the theaters and bought it on Blu. I am biased due to I am a huge TF fan and have been since the early 80's. But TF re-released on 3-D? No thanks.

Michael Bay has said he doesn't like 3D, thinks it is just a gimmick.

Also...the forest fight in 3D is dangerous to your health. Your face would instantly melt.

Edit: there is also no source for the 3D statement.

I hope not. Don't get me wrong I enjoy 3D but until 3D can be used without the dependency of a visual aid then to me it will always be just a gimmick.

I don't understand what the big urgency is lately with movies and 3D. The technology only helps a select few movies at all. Avatar comes to mind. Other movies it is just NOT needed. Why would you need to see an action movie in 3D? If anything that would kill the movie for me because directors will just become lazy when it comes to the story and substance of the film and rely on the 3D wow factor to carry the film. As if directors aren't lazy enough these days.
