Default Is there smaller BDs?

I know that BDs will be the same size of current DVDs (12cm), Is there smaller versions?

You know I'm almost positive there will be because Sony and Panasonic just announced a new format for camcorders called AVCHD. They will initially start out using standard mini DVD but the endgame is moving people to Blu Ray and flash storage.

These don't mention Blu Ray yet but I'm sure that I've read a Sony spokesperson mention the possibility.

You mean like a mini DVD which is 8cms, thats good news.
But I was thinking, since the Blu-ray technology can hold a lot of data, wan't there an opportunity to shrink the disk size, lets say to 10cms the standard size?
