Default Twister - Digital Effects Issue?

I am eagerly awaiting the release of Twister (among other films). However, I fear that there will be issues with the CGI/Effects in the movie being very noticeable. I have seen this in other HD films.

What are the odds of this happening here?

Older films with CG tend to show the CG more especially in HD. Take a look at the HD-DVD version of The Last Starfighter.. (i like the film don't get me wrong, just very dated) the graphics for the day were amazing.. today they SUCK! my PS3 can crap better graphics than that movie.
Watching it in HD IMO will not help the film in any way.
Twister on the other hand is not as old but it may still have more noticeable differences in the effects in HD since our eyes are so used to seeing cg.

So the only way to say is, do you see the CG as a problem in the SD format? If not, then you will have to wait and see if the HD will. If so, than HD will only make it worse.

It isn't really the HD format as these films all played just fine in the theater at much higher resolution. It is just that certain effects don't age as well as others. There's plenty of stuff that looked bad in Lord of the Rings for example.

Twister's effects actually hold up quite well considering the movie is over 10 years old now. The only bad CGI would probably be the 'cow' and a couple shots in the 'finger of god' sequence.

Now the acting, HD can't help that.

i thought the SE were awful in SD, I expect it to be even worse in HD as the effects are even more noticible or they could try to hide this by adding a lot of grain, either way, not cool.
