Default Digital Video Essentials issue

Hello, I'm creating this topic here because this is a bluray release.

Ok my copy of Digital Video Essentials arrived today and for some reason I have no audio in many of the menus. But not all. Some are fine, most i get nothing but video. I think the intro worked but most of the video and even audio menu options or chapters do not have audio.

Using the Panny DMPBD30 with firmware 2.2(also tried with 1.8 and same issue).

On my Onkyo 605, the TrueHD light will flash when there is no audio.

Anyone have any ideas? I also tried searching but couldnt find topics on this... not easily anyway.

Thanks!!!

I use DVE often but I really don't think there is audio to any of the menus.

If you can explain a bit more... I'll be happy to double check my copy.

Sorry I don't mean the menus themselves. The sections of the disc when watching i am not getting any audio, only video. And then the TrueHD light on my Onkyo starts flashing like it's not getting a signal. So I am getting no music or narration or anything like that.

The weird this is, all other movies work and the Introduction to HD Section of the DVE works fine, has audio.

Could you go into the "HD in Detail" part and let me know if you have audio? This is where mine dies.

Maybe I have a bad disc or I wondering if there are any issues with the Panny BD30 and DVE?!??!

I have concluded that this is an issue with the DMPBD30 bitstreaming True HD to the Onkyo 605 unit. Post has been created under BD players.

Audio works fine when HDMi from player directly to TV. But when bitstreaming to receiver... nothing for audio!
