My sentiments exactly... They should be released at the same time... especially considering "Come September" was theatrically released first. MOD? I hope this is NOT a Blu Ray-R. I've been HUGELY disappointed about Universal's treatment of its classics (and classics fans like myself ) lately. The "Revenge of the Creature" disaster (still waiting for the replacement disc 4-6 weeks later) , "The Wedding Date" going completely silent near the end during a few seconds of a song,"The Thrill of it all" (at least MY copy) freezing for a few seconds and then skipping even more seconds (into another different part of the scene) near the end, etc etc etc. Quality control people at Universal... RED ALERT PLEASE!!! EARN YOUR SALARY! "

A pass on this one, but I'd love Man's Favorite Sport? (1964).

Excellent, I missed that. I haven't seen it for years. I think Rock Hudson was a great comic actor, the lovely Paula Prentiss

Mentioned this in the 'Man's Favorite Sport' thread, so very pleased to see this getting a blu-ray release too. 'Come September' is the better of the two Hudson / Lollobrigida collaborations imo, so it's slightly strange that's not been announced but hopefully Universal release that with the Hudson / Leslie Caron 'A Very Special Favour' to complete the Hudson 60s comedies collection!

No, it won't be an BD-R. If you already have some Universal MOD titles you should know already that they're not BD-Rs.

Same old DVD master... better? yes,it's in HD, so that means boosted colors and detail, but the very same defects the DVD had, are present here. Universal keeps being the bottom of the barrel in their treatment of their own all-time classics. (same goes for "Tammy and the Bachelor", same old DVD master upgraded to HD, no remastering, not even wetgating to eliminate dirt and specks, and oh those horrid transition jumpy blurry shots!).
I truly hope they keep licensing their classics to serious companies as Kino or Shout...otherwise we're screwed.
