Which HBO show do you like better: Game of Thrones or True Blood?

I, personally, like True Blood better. I never could get into Game of Thrones because it's very complex and hard to understand. True Blood is more straightforward.

game of thrones by a long shot!!

i watched about 15 min. of true blood 1x and that was enough for me.

Game of Thrones by a billion. I really enjoyed the first 2 seasons of True Blood, but holy hell it went to shit quick.

I agree, first three years i loved it, my wife and i eagerly awaited each episode but then it started going downhill. Very sad!

It may be complex, but if you pay attention and watch the show marathon style (which GOT is a great show to marathon), then it's very easy to catch on to.

GoT. Gave TB 4 episodes, and realized it wouldn't bother me not to watch another episode, so I didn't.

Agreed.

There's more quality in one episode of Game of Thrones than there is in True Blood's entire run (and that applies across the board - writing, acting, directing, the list goes on...).

True Blood has its moments, but they've been few and far between. It amounts to little more than a guilty pleasure show.

I don't really like GoT.

I picked up season 1 eventually and watched it.... But, it's kinda daft.

The show seems to lack a point apart from being softcore porn.

I will get more seasons though if and when I find them cheap enough.

Well seeing as how this is a comarison between True Blood, do you really think there is more sex in this than True Blood?

I just think the sex belongs in the True Blood episodes more... if that makes any sense. I haven't seen the latest season which I think just throws in more sex where it doesn't really belong.... (Judging from the pilot that I did see.)

I guess GoT is really good... it's got a lot of fans and such.... I don't really get into it. Looks like Lord of the Rings meets porn to me.

No show has captivated me more than Game of Thrones. It's one of the best acted/written tv shows I've seen.

True Blood is very fun and it has great style. Both are great in their own ways.

I'd have to go with Game of Thrones though.

I am a fan of True Blood, but Game of Thrones is one of the best shows on TV and perhaps even one of the best of all times.

It's amazing how many people like GOT. I, personally, don't think it's a bad show at all. It's just very hard to understand. Like I said, that's the reason why I couldn't get into it. I was lost from the very beginning... Very complex dialogue, so many different things happening and so many unusual character names to remember. But I don't think it's nearly as bad as DEADWOOD. Sheesh, the dialogue there is very poetic, mixed in with 100 F words per minute.

Have go with Game of Thrones, True Blood has been on a systematic decline for a while now.

With last season being a complete failure and disappointment.

Well, I do hope, for the sake of all GOT fans, that the quality remains that way for it's entire run. I mean, MAD MEN was consistently good in its first 4 seasons, but it's last couple of seasons, it has gone slightly downhill.
