Default Once Upon a Time in Mexico - BD Promo on HDNet

I don't know if this has been mentioned before but Once Upon a Time in Mexico is showing as part of a Blu-ray promotional advertisement on HDNet currently.

It looked like it was a Sony promo - pretty much everything in it was Sony that I could see.

All of the other titles shown are already released as far as I could see.

Hi,

I posted in the "non-US BR produced discs" thread at DVDTALK but...Once Upon a Time in Mexico and The Legend of Zorro are both officially announced for December 27th release in Sweden/Denmark. I assume we will hear a similar US date(s) shortly.

Here's a link to the thread:

Ciao,

If sony would release once upon a time in mexico and desperado and buena vista release the rock, con air, sin city and maybe the faculty on october 16 it might sooth the sting of transformers. BDA must have some more releases that week. it seems they are too passive, if they or warner don't have nothing more that day I will be upset. they shouldn't let transformers get a full head of steam.

It would be nice to see more coming out that week, but also keep in mind Transformers is all hd dvd really has left this holiday season. After that its all about the Blu.

I know but I think BDA must go for the jugular and try to cool the flames that is transformers. being confident and lazy lost them paramount. they have a great chance to do something and they have catalog titles that can do it like the above mentioned or the ones that have been showed "coming to blu-ray" for over a year now. don't hold back, be proactive.

Whats kinda funny to look at is the release list the week before for BD, its got some great titles, especially 28 days/weeks later. If those were a week later I'm sure it could make up for transformers, but all well.

reindeer games would be all that's needed that day......not. but i did kinda like it, it's a guilty pleasure for me. on a serious note, the abyss would really do some damage for a catalog title. wonder what beat knows what's coming in a 6th sense kinda way.

All the Rodriguez and Tarantino movies have been delayed several times because they've been "too busy" to come in and approve the discs.

Personally I think it was that Weinstein was "too red"
