Default What will you wear at HD DUD's funeral?

I know it might be bit early... but as fashionable blu-bloods we should plan ahead.

Let's just focus our energy on killing the beast and not get ahead of ourselves.

i just got home and read an article from an exec at Denon stating that 1.1 profile disk will not play in 1.0 players at all. not just the extras but not at all. i don't know how true this is but if it is factual it's going to suck big time

It was a thread on AVS where the thread starter misquoted the original article.

The Denon exec said that some 1.0 profile player might not play 1.1 some profile discs. Of course this is speculation as we do not know if this is infact true or whether a simple firmware update for older players would not fix the playback issue.

I have a slick blue suit, with a blue monogrammed french-cuff shirt, a blue-patterned silk tie from my work at the UN, blue polarized iridium Oakley Flak Jacket sunglasses, and a blue dress coat from my time in the Air Force....
(crud, I never noticed how much of I government agent I could come across as)

I usually wear these, it wouldn't be a stretch to wear these items again for a HD-DUD funeral.

But I agree, let's focus on defeating HD-DVD first, then we'll talk wardrobe. I only replied because this is what I commonly wear for my job.

I should also point out that this thread is just troll bait. We don't need pointless threads bashing HD-DVD, or we will get more trolls, and get into more bash fights with them.

To be more precise, Talmadge said the discs might not play PROPERLY, not that they wouldn't play at all. That's subject to interpretation... does he mean the main title? PiP?

Its much better they waste their time Trolling here, and trying to defeat us knights than going among gullible cattle and turning them heretics with their FUD.

Yes the movies will play fine, any extras that are dedicated to profile 1.1 simply will not load into exsisting 1.0 players. You will just get the BD-J applications that your machine can handle.

I'd wear my blue Superman outfit, but then everyone would learn my true identity.

threads like this are just plain lame.
By acknowledging them you only give them power.

I thought these "Blu-Blood" people were supposed to be knowledgable, providing information to people, not picking fights on the boards here.

I am going to be completely honest with you here. I am not trying to pick a fight or anything, but I only understood about less than 5% of whatever it is you tried to say just now. I seriously thought that someone said that the 'Blu-Bloods' are about educating people about Blu-Ray.
